Sonia is Pregnant!! XD

My best friend since junior high school, Sonia 張筱苓, is pregnant!! XD
She called me last night to tell me the good news.... *^.^*

When I went back to Taichung around the week of my birthday (end of June), she and her hubby came to visit us in our home and gave me B-day present, a cute bag.... At that time, we got the sense that they were trying to get pregnant. She talked to me about the Taiwan environment not being really suitable for raising a child, but she also told me that they want to have children earlier instead of later when their bodies aren't as healthy and strong... In any case, it was pretty clear that they have decided to have a baby, and now it has come true! It is only about 7 weeks big now.... And she called me to give me the great news last night!

I am soooooooooo happy for her, neh... and, of course, for myself, lor... because I will have one more cute nephew/niece to play with... ha ha... XD

Well, CONGRATULATIONS to the Mom-to-be, and best wishes for a healthy and smooth pregnancy! (Maybe we can let her baby and my nephew Jason 指腹為婚? Mwah~)
　

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince....

話說, 我姊有誠品會員卡, 而且誠品會員網路購物又有優惠... 我在六月初就已經用我姊的帳號訂購嚕英國成人版了...
為啥是英國成人版? 因為英國兒童版當時已訂購一空, 再加上美國版的書很大本佔位置, 還有, 我的第五集是我姊買給我的, 也是英國成人版... 買一樣的比較整齊... (喜歡一套的東西... 是癖好嗎? = =")

雖然其實我是比較想要買美國平裝版, 1-4集都是在美國買的平裝版... 但那還要很久以後才會出... 以前在美國是在書店看完精裝版的書, 等到平裝版出了才買... XD

Anyways, 我是有重點的... = ="
重點就是, 台灣的網路購物真的很方便!
我是選擇在便利商店拿書並便利商店代收錢.. 這樣你不用擔心信用卡個人資料等安全的問題, 又不用繳運費... 比宅配還好, 因為便利商店就在家門口幾乎等於宅配了, 我又可以找自己方便的時間去領不需要擔心上班時間寄到我收不到... 總之... 這是在台灣才有的方便生活細節! ^^~

7/16出書當天, 我家樓下的 全家便利商店 就會收到, 我直接去付錢跟領書就可以了... 好笑的是: 我興高采烈地可以很快拿到書, 上週末卻回台中去嚕... 先前沒有注意到7/16是星期六啦! (昏倒) 所以是等到星期天晚上回台北後才去領嚕...

但是, 這書還真大本啊... = ="
又是精裝版的... 害我沒有辦法用一隻手拿著翻閱, 更沒有辦法像平常一樣放在包包裡, 每天帶著趴趴走, 隨時隨地拿出來啃... 這是最麻煩的事吧... 所以我也沒有辦法利用上班路上坐公車的時間看了... 害我現在只看到第30頁... 囧rz

看完再說心得吧... 哈哈...
第四集電影也很期待, 十一月感恩節期間會上映... 但是很好奇他們怎麼把那麼大一本書拍成一部電影 @.@|||... 據說接下來的5-7集也打算繼續用原班人馬拍, 蠻高興的, 希望可以順利捏... >"<

First Time Out.....

So I went back to TaiChung again this weekend. Because my sister is on summer vacation (she is a high school English teacher, and has short breaks in between her summer classes), so she stayed in our Nantou home for the whole week since the weekend before... This weekend, my Bro-in-law, Wesley, and I also joined the whole family. Of course, most of the time and energy was focused on playing with my cute nephew, Jason, who is just so sweet and so smart, and so cute and so.... everything that nobody would mind his naughtiness and always having his way with everything....

Other than eat, sleep, play with the baby.... the one major thing we did this past weekend, was to go to the movies in Taichung. My sister somehow got a pair of free Warner Village tickets and wanted to go see "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." I have seen the movie on the first week it came out, but I went with them to see "The Fantastic 4" since no else else was interested in seeing it with me in Taipei.

What's so special about this movie trip is that, this was the first time since my nephew was born last May 19, that my sister and her husband went out without the baby.... Can you imagine? One whole year of not being able to have some leisure time / activities by yourself (actually, one and a half year, if you count in the couple of months before giving birth when she was too big to go anywhere)! I think I would die if I had to hold out that long!! (I can't stand it already if I didn't have some time for myself every day! XD)

Anyways, all through the short time on our way to the movie theatre, and the short time we had after the movies taking a short stroll through the mall (Tiger City, Taichung), my sister was so excited and anxious to see everything around... She really wanted to spend more time there to shop or enjoy... But because she learned from my mom and dad (who were taking care of the baby since we were gone) that Jason had woke up soon after we left, they decided to go back right away. So, in the end, they only watched the movie, and took a short walk through the mall (between the movie theater on the 4th floor and the exit).

It is an extremely hard thing to do -- sacraficing one's own pleasures and enjoyments and putting another person's needs and concerns absolutely first, but still they do it with joy. I thought about and even offered them to bring the baby to Taipei some weekend and I can watch over him while they go hang out for a whole day or an afternoon. But they don't want to do it because they are too concerned about every little thing going on with the baby, and would not be able to relax or stop thinking about him if they were not nearby. I do worry that they are putting too much attention on the kid, and it might not be good for everybody, spoiling the kid and exhausting the parents. But the kid turned out to be really good humored and smart...

I just hope he stays that way when he starts actually walking and talking very soon... then, he might turn out to be a smart-ass devil-incarnate kid that never gets tired... muah~

Happy Independence Day!

Ok... So, it's Monday July 4, 2005.... in Taiwan, we have to work on the Independence Day of the United States.. (duh! XD) But, just for the occasion, this is the first thing I thought of putting up here when I realized that today is July 4th.... XD
